About Us

First Choice Excavating was started on March 1, 1997 by Tyler Stricklin. Tyler moved to Dallas January 1990 and started working in excavation that same month. As Tyler's family grew, he started First Choice Excavating to provide a better life for his family. Currently, with over 22 years experience in excavation and demolition Tyler is considered one of the best in the field. The Stricklin family now has a second generation working for the company.

Our philosophy is very simple, treat each job with the highest importance, no short cuts, pay attention to details, and always address the customers concerns and treat them with respect. A fair price with the highest quality work.
We are not a huge company which allows Tyler to oversee each job in great detail.

One of the big problems in the construction field is unsupervised labor. We are fully aware of this and Tyler will oversee every job. We also have employees that have been with us for a long time. Some of our employees have been with us from the very beginning. Our newest employee is Tyler's son, Andrew. Andrew has high hopes of becoming a key member of the company.

We take pride in owning and maintaining our equipment. All of our equipment is manufactured by Caterpillar, Mack, and Bobcat. We carefully maintain our excavation and hauling equipment, to minimize downtime and perform at the highest level.
